Rip It Up - Live at The Spirit Room, Jerome, Arizona - Jez Quayle & Dave Rentz
In May I stayed for a couple of weeks with friends in Clarkdale, Arizona. I played a few small gigs (my first in the US) and performed at this open mic at The Spirit Room in the lovely (and spooky) hillside town of Jerome. On this Little Richard classic I was accompanied by the great percussionist/drummer (and multi-instrumentalist) Dave Rentz. It was a lot of fun!

What a find .. im a experienced band / guitarist .. and forgotten what fun it is to play these old great songs on just a acoustic ..i really like your style and arrangements . Thanks very much! They were nearly all ‘double stops’ rather than triads. I think I only played triads at the end of one of the solos. Yes, having a solid rhythm guitar helps a lot. 👍😃
